Key Responsibilities
As a Halliburton Site Reliability Engineer in Bengaluru, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring 24×7 system reliability across cloud-native applications with built-in redundancy.
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application integration and deployment.
- Building workflows for auto-remediation of common operational issues.
- Creating alert notifications and monitoring tools for critical systems.
- Managing and resolving incidents with proactive incident and problem management.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and team collaboration sessions.
- Coaching junior engineers and contributing to a high-performing DevOps culture.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- 6–15 years of hands-on experience in software development and reliability engineering.
Technical Proficiency
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (VPC, EC2, IAM, Peering), Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
- Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- CI/CD Tools: Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- Identity & Security: SAML, OpenID Connect, Active Directory.
- Telemetry/Monitoring: Experience with New Relic, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Linux System Administration and DevOps best practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software design principles.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / DevOps Engineer Expert
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- RHCE or other Linux certifications
