Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of user-centric, high-performance UI applications for IBM Concert.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to transform business requirements into intuitive interfaces.
- Implement UI best practices, ensuring accessibility (WCAG standards), performance, and design consistency.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering growth in UI engineering practices.
- Partner with QA, DevOps, and Design Systems teams for smooth feature delivery.
- Contribute to and advocate for the Carbon Design System, adhering to IBM’s enterprise standards.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of UI development workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience with state management tools (Redux, MobX, or similar).
- Proficient in React Hooks, functional components, and micro frontend architecture.
- Experience with Carbon Design System or other enterprise UI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Figma or similar design/prototyping tools.
- Understanding of web storage, authentication/authorization patterns, and internationalization/globalization.
- Solid foundation in software engineering principles, code security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
