Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Team Lead – Fund Accounting & Reporting, you will:
- Manage fund accounting operations for private equity and hedge funds, including journal entries, financial statements, and investor reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, GAV/NAV packages, and reconciliations.
- Oversee capital activities such as subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, rollups, and distributions.
- Collaborate with fund administrators, clients, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare primary statements and notes including Statement of Assets and Liabilities, Schedule of Investments, Statement of Operations, Statement of Cash Flows, and Statement of Changes in Net Assets.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and ensure smooth year-end audit processes.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and high-quality deliverables.
- Write technical articles or publications as needed to share expertise.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Qualified CA with 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, hedge funds, or private equity.
- Strong knowledge of fund administration, investor reporting, and capital activity management.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and fund accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience in writing technical articles/publications related to fund accounting.
- Exposure to global fund accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of audit processes, GAAP, and regulatory reporting.
