Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage industrial city applications including Emergency Management Systems, Port Management Information Systems, Port Scheduling Resource Management, and Firefighter Training Tracking Systems.
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities: requirements gathering, solution design, contract management, procurement, implementation, delivery, and ongoing support.
- Ensure continuous availability and business continuity of IT solutions through regular maintenance, incident management, security & vulnerability oversight, and risk assessments.
- Manage vendor relationships, including procurement processes (RFP/RFQ), contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Conduct detailed analysis and documentation of business processes, ensuring solutions align with organizational needs.
- Comply with international standards, corporate policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multicultural teams and stakeholders across QatarEnergy.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers, contractors, and internal teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 9 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in technical support or systems engineering roles within the Energy sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Expertise in managing high-value ICT projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with international standards, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMI or PRINCE2.
- Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent.
- Advantageous: Technical certifications in Cloud computing, enterprise architecture, ITIL.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
- PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Additional certifications in Cloud, ITIL, or enterprise architecture are a plus.
