The ideal candidate will drive project planning, monitoring, and scheduling for oil and gas infrastructure projects, ensuring timely execution, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role is crucial for managing level 1-4 schedules, project controls systems, earned value management (EVM), and schedule risk analysis across multiple disciplines, providing actionable insights for project success.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement project controls procedures, schedules, and reporting systems for Level 1-4 project planning.
- Prepare progress measurement systems, including weight factor calculations, manpower histograms, and S-curves, to monitor project milestones.
- Ensure proper interface of engineering, procurement, and construction activities in detailed Level 4 schedules.
- Conduct diagnostic studies and schedule risk analysis, recommending corrective action plans to mitigate delays.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress through weekly/monthly reports, identifying bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, and areas needing attention.
- Maintain continuous communication with the Project Control Manager (PCM) and site teams to ensure schedule adherence and performance tracking.
- Participate in internal and client review meetings to provide project control insights and schedule updates.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Provide guidance and support to the project control team, ensuring effective staffing and training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize planning processes and ensure seamless execution.
- Participate in departmental improvement initiatives to enhance project control systems and methodologies.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all planning activities comply with corporate policies, project requirements, and client standards.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement in project planning and execution practices.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in oil and gas project planning, execution, and project control systems.
- Strong knowledge of earned value management, manpower planning, S-curves, and schedule risk analysis.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a site-based environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas project planning, including Head Office and Site planning.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale oil & gas projects, including execution and monitoring of complex project schedules.
