π οΈ Responsibilities
As a Senior HPC Systems Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Administer, maintain, and support Linux-based HPC clusters, storage systems (Lustre/NAS), and engineering toolchains.
- Provide global stakeholder support and customer service with a focus on reliability and uptime.
- Install, upgrade, and decommission complex HPC infrastructure and engineering software environments.
- Support applications related to finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and related disciplines.
- Drive automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency across global environments.
- Collaborate with architecture and leadership teams to ensure global service consistency.
- Embrace continuous improvement, change management, and cross-functional teamwork.
π§ Required Skills & Experience
- Deep technical expertise in HPC infrastructure management and simulation-based systems.
- Proven hands-on experience with:
- Linux clusters (RHEL 7.x/8.x)
- Lustre file systems
- Virtualization (VMware ESXi, vCenter)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Automation tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- Monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, OpsView, etc.)
- Engineering applications (FEA, CFD, lifing analytics)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Required:
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a STEM-related field.
- Substantial experience in enterprise-class HPC systems, including end-to-end technical computing support.
Desired:
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, containerization (Docker, Singularity), Slurm, and Big Data technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage mission-critical systems and lead technical projects from concept to deployment.
