Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:
- Develop safe, efficient, and sustainable structural design solutions for concrete and steel structures.
- Lead design activities, ensuring technical quality, accuracy, and compliance with Mott MacDonald’s standards.
- Manage and mentor Junior Engineers, CAD, and Revit Technicians for project delivery across design stages.
- Perform structural calculations, design resolutions, and technical coordination across disciplines.
- Review and check all design outputs to ensure quality and coordination.
- Deliver projects on time and within scope, aligned with client expectations.
- Support the adoption and integration of digital engineering tools (Revit, BIM360, Bluebeam) in workflows.
- Collaborate with UK and Middle East project teams to ensure design consistency and excellence.
Candidate Specification
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design for building structures (concrete and steel).
- Proven experience in international projects, especially UK and Middle East markets.
- Deep understanding of structural framing systems for gravity and lateral load design.
- Hands-on experience with dynamic analysis of structures and design optimization.
- Strong knowledge of RIBA stages of work and design delivery processes.
- Proficiency in Revit Structure, Robot, Etabs, Ram Concept, CSC, STAAD, RAPT, or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with Eurocodes, BS codes, and international design standards.

- Experience using digital collaboration platforms (BIM360, Bluebeam).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
