Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Security Engineer, your role will include:
- Providing advanced technical support to enterprise clients, both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security incidents, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining security-related hardware and software.
- Performing detailed root cause analyses to prevent recurring issues.
- Managing escalated issues and coordinating with third-party vendors as needed.
- Writing comprehensive documentation, reports, and project proposals.
- Leading or mentoring junior engineers and technicians on best practices.
- Participating in design work for high-complexity environments.
- Occasionally serving at the service desk for L3 technical escalations.
- Assisting with documentation of SOPs and knowledge base content.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Deep understanding of technical architecture and infrastructure security.
- Strong project execution and stakeholder communication skills.
- Expertise in identifying, escalating, and resolving security vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in tools related to system configuration, incident response, and change management.
- Experience leading small teams or mentoring engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with client-facing professionalism.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): Project Management certifications, advanced security or implementation certifications.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in a technical implementation or security engineering role.
- Proven track record working in enterprise environments.
- Experience with project documentation, stakeholder engagement, and report writing.
