Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Economics Analyst at QatarEnergy, your core responsibilities will include:
- Conduct detailed economic evaluations and cost-benefit analyses for projects executed within the VP Directorate.
- Perform comprehensive scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess project viability under various market and operational conditions.
- Prioritize projects by comparing their economic merits to guide management in making informed investment decisions.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to provide robust economic insights supporting short-term and long-term strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial and economic models to forecast project outcomes and economic impact.
- Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior analysts to foster a collaborative and skilled team environment.
- Ensure strong communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams to align economic objectives with operational plans.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in oil and gas project economics, financial modeling, feasibility studies, and business negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in economic and financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data management.
- Familiarity with onshore and offshore oil and gas operations is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills with a high proficiency in English.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
- Experience using industry-standard economic analysis software and tools.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Economics, Finance, or Economics from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as an MSc or MBA in related fields are highly desirable.
