Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Production Engineer at QatarEnergy LNG, you will:
- Develop and maintain the Upstream Integrated Gas Volume and Activity Plan (UGP/IAP).
- Review gas production, water injection plans, and surveillance strategies.
- Monitor rig-based well testing, sampling, and measurement activities.
- Support Reservoir Engineers in optimizing gas and condensate production.
- Create contingency plans for production shortages and downtime.
- Analyze offshore and onshore production data using in-house and real-time tools (e.g., POIS).
- Develop and optimize Well Performance Models and System Network Models.
- Ensure measurement accuracy of metering electronics and transmitters.
- Oversee wastewater injection well analysis and enforce quality standards.
- Propose and implement stimulation strategies for enhanced well productivity.
- Evaluate well testing, re-completions, and stimulation effectiveness.
- Perform production allocation and reconciliations at fiscal meter levels.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of production planning, forecasting, and optimization tools.
- Expertise in well modeling, well performance analysis, and reservoir depletion methods.
- Hands-on experience in stimulation techniques, PLT, and well clean-up operations.
- Familiarity with production facilities, testing and metering equipment, pipeline management, and flow assurance.
- Ability to develop effective development/re-development strategies for producing assets.
- Strong collaboration skills with operations, drilling, and reservoir management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
- 6+ years’ experience in production operations, planning, and optimization within the oil & gas sector.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in production technology and petroleum engineering applications.
- Solid background in production logging, well stimulation, reservoir management, and forecasting tools.
