Responsibilities
As a Senior Production Engineer at ExxonMobil Bengaluru, you will:
- Lead well and field performance analysis to drive production optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (reservoir, facilities, wells, operations) to identify and execute production enhancement opportunities.
- Conduct production debottlenecking and operations schedule optimization.
- Perform field system health assessments to identify bottlenecks and efficiency improvements.
- Support operator teams in capacity enhancement, downtime reduction, and reinstating offline volumes.
- Apply data-driven and physics-based methods for production technology deployment.
- Conduct economic evaluations of well interventions and stimulation operations.
- Manage production data, measurement, and allocation quality assurance.
- Lead development of proprietary production engineering technology and mentor junior engineers.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline (minimum GPA 7.0).
- At least 8 years of experience in production engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven expertise in:
- Well performance surveillance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Inflow/outflow/flowline modeling.
- Production well testing and allocation.
- Artificial lift systems.
- Reservoir surveillance and stimulation technologies.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred:
- Programming and scripting knowledge (Python, Matlab, C#).
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, SeeQ, XHQ).
- Hands-on experience with production databases (Energy Components, PI, SQL).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices, Azure Cloud, and Databricks.
- Prior exposure to digital oil field tools and workflows.
