Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Process Engineer at QatarEnergy, your primary duties will include:
🔧 Process Design & Development
- Lead feasibility studies and conceptual design for upstream and midstream gas processing facilities.
- Analyze and optimize surface facility designs for cost, safety, and efficiency.
📊 Engineering Evaluation & Review
- Review and validate process-related engineering deliverables across all project phases.
- Perform techno-economic evaluations for lifecycle cost and value assessment.
🤝 Stakeholder Engagement
- Interface with internal departments, JV partners, and external contractors to align technical objectives.
- Contribute to design integration and facilitate smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Senior Process Engineer role at QatarEnergy, you must have:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
- 5+ years of direct involvement in project development, particularly upstream and midstream gas projects
- Hands-on experience with:
- Process simulation tools like HYSYS, Pipesim
- Dynamic flow assurance
- Knowledge of international engineering standards
- Experience with offshore gas compression, onshore LNG/NGL, and gas treatment facilities
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Postgraduate certifications or training in process safety or simulation software are advantageous.
