Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Designer in Pune, you will:
- Adhere to Quality System standards for all design work.
- Develop detailed designs and project documentation for upgrades, rentals, and operations.
- Collaborate with project, procurement, and engineering teams across global offices.
- Interpret piping specifications and customer requirements.
- Execute conceptual skid designs and validate them.
- Prepare and review technical drawings:
- Plot plans
- Tank & vessel GA drawings
- Piping GA drawings
- Isometric drawings & pipe support drawings
- Skid GA & structural fabrication drawings
- Create 3D plant/skid models and ensure fabrication readiness.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and engineering documents (e.g., Civil guide drawings).
- Ensure isometrics are error-free and fabrication-ready.
- Participate in design reviews, ISO audits, and project engineering closures.
- Deliver as-built drawings post-project completion.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma (DME) / BE (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in mechanical design, including piping, skid structures, and plant design.
- Technical Proficiency:
- AutoCAD, 3D modeling software
- Piping GA, structural drawings, fabrication-ready designs
- Strong MS Office skills for project documentation
- Strong understanding of time, cost, and commercial aspects of projects.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams.
- Experience participating in ISO audits and QA processes is an advantage.
