About the Role
As a Senior/Lead Java Developer at EY, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. You’ll design and implement Spring Boot microservices, Angular-based SPAs, and cloud-native solutions, while providing mentorship, code review, and architectural guidance to your development team. Collaborating closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Security teams, you’ll deliver modern, compliant, and resilient financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead design, development, and deployment of Java Spring Boot microservices and Angular SPAs.
- Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices across development teams.
- Define technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.
DevSecOps & Cloud Practices
- Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native tooling.
- Ensure application security using OAuth2, JWT, and compliance with FinTech regulations.
- Oversee Agile sprint planning, effort estimation, and delivery timelines.
Team & Project Management
- Lead a team of developers, providing guidance on architecture, coding standards, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Security for seamless delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and quality within the development team.
Required Skills
- Expert in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and Angular (v10+).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevSecOps practices, and cloud-native development.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, setting technical direction, and managing code quality.
- Familiarity with FinTech domains: digital banking, lending, fraud detection, or AML solutions is advantageous.
