Responsibilities
As a Java/Python Developer – Risk Analytics Associate at PwC India, your key responsibilities include:
- Redesigning and migrating applications from monolithic architecture to microservices.
- Owning the platform migration to a data-driven streaming platform.
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders across teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Prioritizing, planning, and managing individual and group development tasks.
- Driving quality, accountability, and on-time delivery of projects.
- Applying design patterns, algorithms, and scalable solutions for complex systems.
- Contributing to customer experience improvement and technical excellence.
Skills & Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Java 8 and Python
- Expertise in Spring / Guice frameworks, Spring Boot, REST services, and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of design patterns, NFRs, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Couchbase, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of message queues (Kafka) and containerization tools (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the Airline domain is a plus
- Prior experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Years of Experience: 4–9 years in software analysis, design, and development using Java/Python
- Certifications (Optional): Relevant certifications in Java, Python, or cloud/container technologies
