About the Role
As a Senior Ignition Consultant, you will be part of the Enterprise Services – Data team, focusing on Ignition platform administration, integration, and optimization. You will collaborate with platform teams, developers, and business users to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of enterprise analytics platforms. This role offers exposure to cloud-native applications, data pipeline integrations, and enterprise software deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Ignition platform environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend platform improvements.
- Configure data source connections and manage asset libraries efficiently.
- Integrate Ignition with other ES Data platforms and business unit installations.
- Define and enforce best practices for Ignition deployment.
- Participate in data platform architecture and strategy discussions.
- Research and recommend solutions for complex technical challenges with minimal direction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless analytics solutions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- 3+ years in customer-facing engineering, cloud operations, or enterprise application administration.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition, Linux command line, and enterprise software solutions.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Docker, cloud networking, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Attribute-based Access Control (ABAC), Virtual Director Services (VDS), PING Federate, Azure AD is a plus.
- Experience with Qlik Sense, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake, Alteryx, Matillion, SAP Business Objects, Informatica, Databricks preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Technology, Computing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience in cloud application deployment, Kubernetes operations, and enterprise data platforms.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, standard business hours; flexible scheduling may be required to meet application administration and operational deadlines.
- May involve occasional weekend or after-hours work for critical updates or troubleshooting.
