💼 Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst – Data Engineer at EY, you will:

• Lead the design and development of modern data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure and other major cloud platforms.
• Evaluate, select, and implement data warehousing tools for data ingestion, storage, and analytics.
• Build robust data orchestration workflows and automate structured/unstructured data processing.
• Translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions (Data Lakes, OLAP, Synapse).
• Document end-to-end data pipelines and technical specifications including mapping, test cases, and support documents.
• Collaborate with architects, SMEs, developers, and business stakeholders across global teams.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security compliance in all data engineering efforts.
• Mentor junior team members and enforce ETL/DWH best practices.
• Optimize performance of ETL pipelines and cloud-based database systems.

🧠 Skills and Technologies Required

• Minimum 6+ years total experience, with 3+ years in Data Engineering & Warehousing
• Deep experience with Azure services:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services
  • Kafka, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage
• Strong experience in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and data modeling
• Solid understanding of PySpark and SparkSQL
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration projects (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Familiarity with reporting tools: Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE, Business Objects
• Agile development, SDLC, and product lifecycle knowledge
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate, etc.) are a plus
• Experience in Big 4 or global consulting firms preferred
