Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage LNG contracts including Master Sales and Purchase Agreements (MSPAs), Confirmations (CNs), and various service agreements.
- Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with traders and commercial teams, ensuring all agreements meet legal and commercial standards.
- Manage contract amendments and maintain accurate, up-to-date contractual documentation.
- Identify and escalate contractual or negotiation issues promptly, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes.
- Ensure all contract processes comply with QatarEnergy’s internal policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in contract management, with at least 3 years specifically in LNG trading contract handling.
- In-depth knowledge of LNG physical and derivative transaction contracts and industry standards.
- Proven track record of mitigating legal and commercial risks within complex contracts.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as MBA or MSc are highly preferred.
