Key Responsibilities
As a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant at Deloitte, you will be responsible for:
1. SAP ABAP Development
- Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP solutions for clients using advanced techniques such as user-exits, BADI, and Adobe forms.
- Customize and enhance SAP modules like SAP ECC, SAP CRM, and SRM through efficient ABAP coding.
- Apply performance tuning techniques to optimize SAP applications for speed and efficiency.
2. Advanced SAP Technologies
- Develop RAP (Restful Application Programming) applications to ensure optimal performance in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Leverage Core Data Services (CDS) for building high-performance data models.
- Integrate OData services for seamless connectivity between SAP systems and external applications.
3. SAP System Implementation
- Lead and contribute to 2-4 SAP implementation projects, from system design to deployment.
- Work closely with clients to define project scope, gather requirements, and customize SAP solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of SAP solutions.
4. Leadership & Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that SAP solutions align with their business goals.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices in ABAP development and SAP solution design.
- Provide strategic advice on SAP architecture and system integration to enhance overall client performance.
Desired Qualifications
To be successful in the Senior SAP ABAP Consultant role at Deloitte, you should have:
- 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on expertise with HANA, RAP, and OData services.
- Proficiency in performance tuning and experience with SAP HANA-specific syntax and techniques.
- Strong understanding of SAP Core Data Services (CDS) and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and the ability to integrate SAP solutions into modern cloud environments.
- A Graduate degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized institution.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client-facing and team collaboration.
