Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – SAP ABAP RAP Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing SAP applications using the ABAP RAP framework in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform environments.
- Building and consuming OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 front-end integration.
- Collaborating with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into efficient SAP solutions.
- Developing CDS Views, BOPF objects, and RAP-based business services for end-to-end workflows.
- Performing code optimization, testing, debugging, and performance tuning for RAP applications.
- Maintaining technical documentation and ensuring compliance with SAP best practices.
- Guiding and mentoring junior ABAP developers to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Staying current with SAP modernization trends, including S/4HANA migration and SAP BTP innovation.
- Participating in Agile/Scrum methodologies for collaborative development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- 5–8 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Hands-on expertise with the ABAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) framework.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and extensibility options.
- Proven experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 application development and OData services.
- Knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS) and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF).
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform (SCP/BTP) and related technologies.
- Exposure to SAP modules like MM, SD, FI, or equivalent.
Technical and Soft Skills
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Ability to mentor junior team members effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certification in ABAP, RAP, or S/4HANA Development.
- Experience with SAP Cloud SDK, SAP BTP, or CI/CD pipelines in SAP projects.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud-native SAP deployment practices.
