Summary
Deloitte India is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant in SAP ABAP to join our Bengaluru office. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in SAP ABAP development, RAP, S/4HANA, and Fiori/UI5 applications.
As a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, you will design, develop, and implement SAP solutions across core modules (SD, MM, FICO, PP) while adhering to best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will collaborate with global teams and client stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality SAP applications and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
SAP ABAP Development
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP applications in ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA systems.
- Develop custom Fiori/UI5 applications and extend standard SAP-delivered functionalities.
- Implement ABAP Objects, BADI, BAPI, user exits, Reports, SAP Scripts, SMARTFORMS, Adobe Forms, and interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis using SAP tools such as ABAP Debugger, SQL Trace, and Application Logs.
Integration & Interfaces
- Work with SAP Gateway, OData services, PROXY, IDOC/EDI, and XI/PI integrations.
- Configure AMDP, CDS, and BOPF models for SAP S/4HANA development.
- Ensure interface reliability and messaging architecture compliance.
Quality & Collaboration
- Adhere to SDLC processes and development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders for seamless solution delivery.
- Document technical specifications, unit tests, and code review notes.
- Provide support for incident management and issue resolution.
Innovation & Mentorship
- Contribute to best practices and development standards within the SAP team.
- Mentor junior ABAP developers and enhance team capabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging SAP technologies and Fiori/UI5 trends.
Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including S/4HANA, RAP, CDS, and AMDP.
- Hands-on experience with SAPUI5, Fiori application development, and OData services.
- Strong knowledge of core SAP modules: SD, MM, FICO, and PP.
- Proficiency in ABAP Objects, BADI, BAPI, user exits, Reports, SMARTFORMS, and Adobe Forms.
- Experience with integration technologies: Web Services, IDOC/EDI, XI/PI.
- Familiarity with incident management tools like Remedy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with global teams and manage multiple deliverables.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from a premier institute.
- Hands-on experience in managed/unmanaged SAP scenarios.
- Willingness to travel for short- and long-term client assignments.
