Summary

Kroll is seeking a Senior Consultant in Portfolio Valuation for its New Delhi office. Join the Global Business Solutions (GBS) – Portfolio Valuations Advisory Services team and gain exposure to alternative investment valuations for hedge funds, private equity funds, and other illiquid securities. This role is ideal for finance professionals with 3–6 years of valuation-related experience, looking to enhance technical expertise, build client relationships, and work on high-impact global engagements. Candidates will develop advanced skills in DCF, comparable company, stock option, and loan valuations, while contributing to reports on emerging sectors and high-growth Unicorns.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Engagement

  • Build long-term client relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
  • Understand client needs and deliver high-quality work products for valuation projects.
  • Manage client engagements from daily interactions to work plan completion.

Valuation & Technical Expertise

  • Develop technical expertise in alternative asset valuations.
  • Build, review, and validate financial models, including DCF, comparable company, stock option, and loan valuations.
  • Perform valuation analysis on illiquid securities for hedge funds, private equity, business development corporations, and fund of funds.

Project & Team Management

  • Handle project management tasks including client interviews, engagement economics, research, and report writing.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on valuation practices and tools.
  • Track market and industry information to inform client valuations and insights.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare industry reports and Unicorn coverage reports in emerging sectors.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to clients based on valuation analyses.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and internal knowledge sharing.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in financial services with focus on valuation.
  • CA, Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, CFA, or MBA from accredited institutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting to senior management.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
