Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – Oracle Analytics, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy Scala/Spark jobs for large-scale data transformation and aggregation tasks.
- Write efficient, modular, and testable code using functional programming principles in Scala.
- Build and maintain robust unit tests using tools such as Scalatest and JUnit.
- Develop and manage data pipelines using PySpark and integrate them with Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries and manage relational database schemas.
- Implement real-time data processing using Apache Kafka and related tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable analytics and middleware solutions.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize big data processing pipelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Scala with Spark (functional programming expertise is a plus)
- Strong understanding of PySpark, SQL, and Oracle database systems
- Experience in developing data transformation workflows and data engineering pipelines
- Familiarity with Kafka, JUnit, and Scalatest frameworks
- Ability to debug and optimize large-scale data applications in cloud or on-premise environments
- Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a consulting environment, preferably within a Big 4 firm
- Experience implementing solutions in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Knowledge of middleware architecture and data streaming solutions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
