Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – Open Source Architect, your responsibilities will include:
- Architecting scalable open-source solutions aligned with client business needs.
- Providing technical leadership to development teams on open-source best practices.
- Leading requirements gathering, technical design, and documentation.
- Evaluating open-source frameworks for suitability and future integration.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Product.
- Driving proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilot projects, and technology assessments.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing and security standards in open-source environments.
- Participating in and contributing to open-source communities and initiatives.
- Managing risks and providing solutions for complex architectural challenges.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6–7 years of software development and open-source architecture experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Linux, Apache/Nginx, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience with public sector or multilateral organizations (UN, ADB, World Bank).
- Familiarity with open-source licensing, governance, and contribution models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and influence cross-functional outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in Cloud Architecture, DevOps, or Scrum/Agile frameworks.
- Demonstrated involvement in open-source contributions or community projects.
