Key Responsibilities
Design & Architecture
- Design robust, scalable, and maintainable Java applications and microservices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and solution designs in collaboration with architects and senior engineers.
Development & Implementation
- Write clean, high-quality, and efficient Java code.
- Develop APIs, backend services, and microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies.
- Integrate databases, message queues, and cloud services into applications.
Full Stack Collaboration
- Work with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement responsive front-end components if needed (knowledge of React is a plus).
Mentorship & Code Quality
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
- Promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Support deployment on cloud platforms like AWS and manage containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
Support & Troubleshooting
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.
Documentation
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, processes, and system designs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java.
- Expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Security.
- Experience in microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and backend integrations.
- Proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of cloud development and deployment (AWS).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Drools rule engine and JSLT for JSON transformations.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Exposure to front-end technologies like React.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Understanding of security best practices in software development.
