Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – Java Backend, you will:
- Design, develop, prototype, and deliver scalable backend applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases including Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Elastic, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
- Implement real-time data processing with Kafka and asynchronous messaging systems.
- Architect and build microservices and cloud-native applications using Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Optimize system performance, ensure fault tolerance, and handle capacity planning for large-scale distributed systems.
- Participate in agile scrum teams, collaborating with architects and product owners.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and performance tests.
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready code with CI/CD best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–9 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Core Java & OOP concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong database knowledge – SQL/NoSQL technologies (Azure SQL, CosmosDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Proficiency in Kafka and distributed messaging systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, system design expertise, and data structures/algorithms knowledge.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/MS/MCA in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of professional programming experience in Java backend development.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale distributed systems.
