Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end actuarial projects focusing on quality, accuracy, and process efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for clients.
  • Collect and input data for Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) claims models, Actuarial Value Plan Models, and Pricing Models.
  • Analyze ad-hoc data using advanced Excel functions and present insights to internal client teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad-hoc actuarial projects such as plan changes and self-funded vs. fully insured analysis.
  • Prepare financial exhibits to support client reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of group systems, products, and technology, ensuring alignment with consulting practices.
  • Independently review technical results, establish reasonableness and reliability, and maintain proper audit trails.
  • Mentor colleagues and provide guidance to deliver client-ready valuations and actuarial outputs.
  • Actively participate in weekly manager meetings, providing insights and updates on project progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in data analysis, actuarial modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years in actuarial work, insurance, consulting, or analytically intensive roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Excel and data analysis tools
    • Actuarial Modeling Suite or similar actuarial software
    • Health insurance and benefits actuarial knowledge
