Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – HCL Commerce, you will:
- Develop and customize solutions in HCL Commerce v9+
- Design and implement RESTful APIs with Commerce REST framework
- Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Spring Boot
- Customize and enhance order, member, payment, and catalog subsystems
- Implement and tune Solr/ElasticSearch for scalable search solutions
- Apply design patterns, cutover strategies, and performance optimization
- Integrate commerce solutions into enterprise ecosystems
- Support B2B, B2C, and extended site models
- Develop and test microservices (optional)
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodology and participate in sprint ceremonies
- Manage code versioning with Git/Bitbucket
Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong proficiency in HCL Commerce v9+ and RESTful API development
- Experience with Java, J2EE, Oracle DB/DB2, Linux/Shell scripting
- Expertise in CI/CD tools, Spring Boot, and containerization
- Hands-on experience with Solr/ElasticSearch customization
- Knowledge of HCL Commerce architecture, subsystems, and data models
- Familiarity with design patterns and Agile development
- (Optional) Experience in Management Center customization and microservices
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in HCL Commerce consulting or development
- Strong background in performance tuning, scalability, and production cutover strategies
- Prior experience in a consulting environment is a plus
