About the Role
As a Senior Consultant – AWS DevOps, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines that power Deloitte’s digital transformation projects. You’ll collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure for enterprise-scale projects.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Monitor system health, reliability, and performance using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, network security, and compliance automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for DevSecOps integration and release management.
- Optimize AWS resource usage for cost efficiency and scalability.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience:
- 6–10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Proven experience managing large-scale deployments in AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and shell scripting.
Core Skills:
- Expertise in AWS Cloud Services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with serverless architecture, microservices, and event-driven design.
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Consulting experience or client-facing project management.
