Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable AWS data pipelines using services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, and S3
• Develop and manage cloud-native data warehouses and data lakes on AWS platforms like Redshift and Amazon S3
• Implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and reliability
• Optimize data pipeline performance and cost by identifying bottlenecks and deploying cost-saving measures
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable solutions
• Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and implement cutting-edge solutions in cloud data engineering
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues, ensuring continuous availability and data accuracy
• Advocate for and implement security, compliance, and data privacy policies in line with Deloitte standards

Required Skills & Expertise

• Proven experience (5+ years) working with AWS data engineering tools: AWS Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Redshift
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python
• Expertise in data warehousing, data lake architecture, and cloud-native data solutions
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data architecture
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• AWS certification related to data engineering (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty)
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
