Summary
KPMG Global Services (KGS) is seeking a Senior in the Audit team to lead and manage audit engagements for clients in Australia. This role is perfect for professionals with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm, who want to develop expertise in international audit, financial statement review, and team leadership. As a Senior, you will supervise a team, ensure audit quality, mentor junior staff, and serve as a key point of contact for onshore departments, contributing to high-value client relationships and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead and manage a team of 4–5 professionals, including fresh graduates and experienced auditors.
- Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to team members to improve performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure team members meet quality and SLA standards.
Audit & Compliance
- Audit financial statements of international clients, including complex statutory requirements.
- Act as in-charge on audit engagements, maintaining data confidentiality and risk compliance.
- Identify and track issues, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with clients and onshore Australian teams to update on engagement progress.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with onshore departments and client contacts.
- Serve as main point of contact for queries and clarifications during audits.
- Ensure adherence to KPMG’s risk management and quality standards.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Professional qualification: CA (ICAI) or ACCA.
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in audit, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and international audit standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to international audit engagements, particularly Australia.
- Strong team leadership and mentoring experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and audit software tools.
