Responsibilities

• Jira Administration & Customization
  • Manage Jira Core, Software, and Service Management for performance and security
  • Design and implement complex workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and automation rules
  • Troubleshoot and provide expert Jira support
• ScriptRunner & Groovy Development
  • Create Groovy-based behaviors, validators, post-functions, and UI fragments
  • Build custom REST endpoints and manage shared scripts for maintainability
  • Enhance Jira UX using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within ScriptRunner contexts
• Atlassian Ecosystem Integration
  • Maintain and upgrade Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket environments
  • Architect scalable solutions and integrations with enterprise systems, CI/CD pipelines, and identity providers
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Guide and mentor junior developers in Atlassian development best practices
  • Lead technical design efforts and oversee code quality, reviews, and documentation
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Drive requirements with stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions
  • Produce technical documentation (design specs, runbooks, SOPs)
  • Advocate and enforce Atlassian best practices and standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing Jira-based solutions
  • Proven expertise in Groovy scripting and Atlassian ScriptRunner for workflow customizations
  • Deep understanding of Jira architecture (schemas, permissions, workflows)
  • Experience with Confluence and Bitbucket integrations
  • Strong programming skills (for example: Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git/Bitbucket)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and own complex development projects
• Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with Jira Data Center deployments
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Developer)
  • Cloud platform knowledge (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
