Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and support cloud-hosted web applications, virtual machines, databases, and service buses in AWS/Azure environments.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and operational workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system/application issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor system performance using Observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, DataDog, and Splunk.
  • Maintain Linux, Solaris, or BSD systems for maximum uptime, performance, and security.
  • Create, update, and refine operational documentation and SOPs.
  • Enforce security compliance processes and governance frameworks.
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations and incident management processes.
  • Analyze system performance trends for capacity planning and scaling requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise

  • 3–7 years in *production Linux/Solaris/BSD environments at medium to large scale.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure cloud deployments and cloud migration projects.
  • Expertise in containerization: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS.
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Groovy DSL.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, HTTP, LDAP.
  • Experience with configuration management tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CFengine.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation templates.
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-driven, proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with caching architectures, MySQL, Java, Apache, and Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of security compliance frameworks: SOC II, PCI, HIPAA, ISO27001, FedRAMP.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, or Go.
  • Strong ability to solve complex system/application problems and optimize performance.
  • Experience in service level indicators/objectives (SLx) for uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s in Engineering (M.Tech/MCA).
  • 3–7 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, and cloud infrastructure experience.
