Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership & Coaching

  • Serve as a servant-leader and Agile coach for multiple Scrum teams, promoting transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming.
  • Support the Product Owner in defining clear Sprint Goals, breaking down epics into actionable user stories, and prioritizing value delivery.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices and frameworks to improve performance and Agile maturity.
  • Foster a psychologically safe environment encouraging innovation, learning, and experimentation.

Agile Project Delivery

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across development, QA, design, and product teams for smooth delivery.
  • Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile tools to maintain sprint boards, monitor progress, and generate insightful reports.
  • Champion Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts, cumulative flow diagrams) to drive data-informed retrospectives and delivery improvements.
  • Facilitate dependency mapping, risk management, and stakeholder alignment, especially in multi-team and scaled environments.
  • Drive the removal of team-level and organizational impediments to enhance productivity and workflow.

Agile Transformation & Scaling

  • Guide teams through organizational Agile transformations, including frameworks like SAFe and LeSS.
  • Support Program Increment (PI) planning, ART coordination, and scaling initiatives where applicable.
  • Implement JIRA automation for workflow optimization and dashboard customization.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, and core Agile principles.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams, remove blockers, and ensure sprint commitments are met.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with experience working in distributed teams and hybrid environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to simplify complex situations.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in JIRA Automation for workflow optimization.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile practices, roles, ceremonies, and scaled agile environments.
  • Experience with Program Increment (PI) planning, ART coordination, and multi-team Scrum delivery.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM I/II, or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple Agile teams of 20–25 developers, facilitating end-to-end delivery, and driving high-performance outcomes.
