Key Responsibilities
As a WTW Senior Actuarial Consultant – Life Technology, you will:
- Lead actuarial modeling projects using proprietary software for pricing, liability computation, embedded value, and appraisal value.
- Support IFRS17 implementation and asset liability management (ALM) initiatives.
- Develop and deliver automation solutions to streamline actuarial and finance processes.
- Manage process transformation projects and collaborate with global project leaders.
- Mentor and guide junior actuarial consultants for career development and technical growth.
- Contribute to client engagements by identifying new opportunities and delivering solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Build strong client and internal relationships across cross-border teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results and maintain clear documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 7–9 years of actuarial experience in life insurance or consulting firms.
- At least 2 years of experience building cashflow models or automation engines using actuarial software.
- Completion of 9+ actuarial examinations (IAI or IFoA).
- Strong expertise in reserving, pricing, embedded value, and other actuarial domains.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and coding in VBA, Python, SQL, or PowerShell.
- Ability to independently lead project teams and deliver client solutions.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to explain complex actuarial results to leadership and clients.
Preferred Skills
- Aptitude for learning new coding languages and technologies.
- Exposure to automation tools and actuarial software solutions such as Risk Agility FM, Unify, and Data Validator.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a client-focused approach.
