Summary

Kroll is seeking a Security Engineer II to join its InfoSec team in Mumbai, India. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in cybersecurity, penetration testing, and information security engineering. As a Security Engineer II at Kroll, you will coordinate and manage security testing programs, work closely with penetration testing vendors, and support the broader Information Security program. This position ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Kroll’s systems while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and network teams.

Key Responsibilities

Security Testing & Threat Assessment

• Lead and coordinate penetration tests across internal infrastructure, networks, and applications.
• Demonstrate understanding of red, blue, and purple team testing methodologies.
• Establish threat models and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform internal security testing, validate mitigations, and recommend security improvements.

Collaboration & Remediation

• Work closely with Infrastructure, Application, and Network Engineering teams to remediate security findings.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining security-related documentation.
• Support the Information Security program through project tracking and operational tasks.

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate knowledge of networking, OSI Layer 7 security controls, web application firewalls, mTLS, and REST APIs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigate security incidents as needed.
• Lead InfoSec team members on weekly operational and functional tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in security engineering, information security, or security tool engineering.
• Strong experience in InfoSec infrastructure and application security testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and application connectivity across public clouds.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• High personal integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
