About the Role
As a Senior SAP BW HANA Consultant, you will act as a technical lead for cloud implementation projects, ensuring high-quality SAP BI/BW solutions across global clients. You will mentor project teams, monitor deliverables, and interface with customer representatives, contributing to EY’s reputation for excellence in technology consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities
- Lead technical streams in cloud implementation projects.
- Plan, monitor, and track project deliverables of the SAP BW HANA team.
- Interface and communicate with onsite coordinators and customer representatives.
- Mentor project team members in executing SAP BW HANA tasks.
- Provide regular status updates to the Manager and onsite coordinators.
- Travel to client locations as required.
People Responsibilities

- Manage performance of direct reports in line with organizational policies.
- Foster teamwork and lead by example.
- Train and mentor project resources.
- Participate in organization-wide people initiatives.
Technical Responsibilities
- Manage the SAP BW development lifecycle from design to implementation and production support.
- Design, develop, and support custom BW objects using BW LSA (Layered Scalable Architecture).
- Optimize SAP BW on HANA system architecture and performance.
- Create transformations, routines, formulas, and DTPs.
- Maintain, monitor, and manage data loads and BI functions.
- Document test plans and complete unit testing of developed objects.
- Support system and integration testing with business and testing teams.
- Create and support BEx queries in SAP BW Data Warehouse.
- Perform performance tuning of BW systems following best practices.
- Support and develop Business Objects reports for production and new reporting needs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production or development issues.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Expertise in SAP BI/BW Back-end development, configuration, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of BW LSA architecture and SAP BW HANA system design.
- Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior consultants.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP implementations.
- Strong focus on quality, performance optimization, and BI reporting solutions.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in SAP BW HANA development, BI consulting, or cloud implementation projects.
- Proven track record in SAP BW lifecycle management and production support.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in Business Objects reporting, transformations, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work in global, client-facing consulting projects.
