Key Responsibilities
As a SAP ABAP Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading ABAP development for SAP HANA implementations
- Developing and optimizing RICEFW objects, enhancements, and custom programs
- Working closely with the SAP PP module (Make to Order, Make to Stock, Batch Management)
- Handling object-oriented programming, performance tuning, RFCs, and BADIs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
- Delivering high-quality deliverables in manufacturing sector projects
- Mentoring junior team members and ensuring delivery excellence
- Engaging directly with clients, understanding business processes, and providing scalable SAP solutions
Required Skills & Expertise
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP and ABAP on HANA
- In-depth exposure to SAP PP (Production Planning) module integration
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, Enhancement Framework, and Performance Tuning
- Expertise in RFCs, BADI implementations, and custom developments
- Basic understanding of production workflows, PP master data, and backend tables
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work in agile teams and guide junior developers
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 10+ years of relevant experience in SAP consulting or enterprise tech roles
- Prior experience in manufacturing industry projects
- Willingness to travel for short and long-term assignments
- Experience working in hybrid and on-site models with client-facing exposure
