About the Team

Deloitte’s Enterprise Technology & Performance (ET&P) practice helps organizations harness technology to enable growth, efficiency, and innovation. Our SAP Consulting Team focuses on designing and implementing cutting-edge SAP solutions to improve enterprise performance and enable digital transformation across industries.

Key Responsibilities

As a SAP ABAP Consultant, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs and custom applications.
• Work on ABAP objects, classes, methods, user exits, and BADIs.
• Develop and customize SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and IDocs/ALE interfaces.
• Optimize code through performance tuning and debugging.
• Participate in 2–4 end-to-end SAP implementations.
• Collaborate with functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
• Support business process integration and technical issue resolution.
• Maintain detailed documentation of development activities.
• Demonstrate strong communication and client interaction skills.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in Core ABAP, BADIs, User-Exits, and Enhancements.
• Experience with Forms Development (SmartForms/Adobe Forms).
• Knowledge of IDocs, ALE, and Performance Optimization.
• Exposure to SAP integration projects and cross-functional modules.
• Strong client-facing and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline from a reputed institution.
• 3–5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development or consulting.
• Willingness to travel for project deployments.
• Strong analytical, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to SAP performance tuning tools and best practices.
• Ability to work in collaborative, agile teams.
