Key Responsibilities
Rig Cleaning & Maintenance
- Perform general cleaning, including washing, painting, sandblasting, and needle gunning on rig structures
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards before, during, and after operations
Chemical Mixing & Mud Hopper Support
- Assist Derrick-man in chemical mixing operations and basic maintenance of mud hopper equipment
Material Handling
- Support loading/unloading operations for trucks and barges
- Perform safe slinging when assisting hoists
Safety & Compliance
- Follow general rig safety protocols and report unsafe conditions
- Participate in all company safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response drills
Operational Support
- Assist in rig moves, equipment tying, thread protection of tubulars
- Collect technical data and contribute to progress reports and near-miss documentation
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of rig safety and industrial hygiene
- Basic chemical handling and mixing skills
- Competent in safe material handling and equipment use
- Good communication skills for internal and external coordination
Minimum Qualifications
- Preparatory Education completion
- 2 years of relevant industrial or rig operations experience
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
Preferred Certifications
- Safety training and any relevant oil & gas industry certifications
