Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy digital solutions and workflows for reservoir modeling and subsurface applications.
  • Integrate geological, petrophysical, geophysical, and engineering data to create robust reservoir models for resource evaluation and production forecasting.
  • Maintain and support Petrel plugins and geological tools, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Develop new geological plugins, algorithms, and user interfaces for subsurface modeling.
  • Collaborate with US-based R&D teams to deploy reservoir modeling products and digital workflows.
  • Contribute to digital platform development, including pipelines, cloud-based build/release, and data engineering initiatives.
  • Create technical documentation and training materials for new digital solutions.
  • Support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) processes for delivering prioritized features and digital enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Earth Science, Geoscience, or Engineering.
  • Expertise in digital solutions development using object-oriented languages (C#, C++, Java) and Azure ecosystem development (pipelines, dashboards, data management).
  • Proficiency with Petrel or equivalent Earth modeling suites.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Earth Science, subsurface modeling, or engineering roles.
  • Understanding of reservoir modeling, subsurface processes, and geological workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience supporting customer needs in subsurface applications and delivering high-priority digital features.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SLB Ocean development framework for Petrel plugins.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning/AI for accelerating reservoir characterization and modeling accuracy.
  • Experience with reservoir model discretization and integration of multi-disciplinary datasets.
  • Strong foundation in geological workflows applied to subsurface and reservoir modeling.
