About the Role
As a Project Consultant – GOV Business Consulting, you will support public sector transformation initiatives, helping governments design policies, implement strategic programs, and enhance operational efficiency. This role provides exposure to multi-year, multi-stakeholder transformation projects including finance, supply chain, operations, and sports development programs.
Key Responsibilities
Policy and Strategy Development
- Assist in formulating and implementing state-level sports policies, talent identification programs, and athlete development pathways.
Talent Identification & Development
- Design and implement programs for scouting and nurturing sporting talent, driving athlete performance and growth.
Sports Promotion & Event Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee national, state, and international sports events, including logistics, budgeting, and operations.
Research and Performance Analysis
- Conduct research on sports trends, athlete performance, and global best practices for program development.
Procurement & Project Support
- Assist in bidding and tendering processes in accordance with Government Financial Rules (GFRs) and state procurement guidelines.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of Indian and international sports ecosystems.
- Knowledge of sports infrastructure planning, athlete development, and event management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple client departments.
- Adaptable, curious, and solution-oriented with positive energy and creative problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduation or Postgraduation in Management or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in sports consultancy, policy formulation, or sports event management.
- Experience working with central/state government sports bodies or National Sports Federations is preferred.
Preferred
- Experience in public sector transformation projects or consulting engagements.
- Exposure to strategic planning and program implementation for government initiatives.
