Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and articulate the product vision for card and payment network offerings.
  • Develop medium- and long-term product roadmaps, including network launches, co-brand opportunities, feature updates, and tokenization initiatives.

Backlog Management & Prioritization

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating business and customer requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Apply Scrum/Agile frameworks to align teams with sprint planning, reviews, and PI planning.
  • Facilitate decision-making on trade-offs between scope, speed, and regulatory mandates.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units (marketing, finance, compliance), engineering teams, network compliance teams, card issuers/acquirers, and external partners.
  • Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and coordinate cross-functional decision-making.

Value Measurement & Reporting

  • Define KPIs, track success metrics, and report on product performance.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client surveys to validate product hypotheses.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with card issuance regulations, co-brand agreements, data localization requirements, and customer consent protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • 9–12 years in product management, product ownership, or fintech product roles.
  • Proven experience in card payment systems, including issuance, acquiring, clearing, and settlement.
  • Successful end-to-end product implementation in payments or card networks.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of networks like Mastercard, Visa, Amex, or other payment schemes.
  • Familiarity with APIs, tokenization, fraud prevention, and digital wallets.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead strategic initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
