IBM India is hiring a Performance Engineer / Performance Analyst in Bangalore to join its IBM Software Business Automation team. In this role, you will drive performance testing, benchmark development, and automation for enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and environment setups using Ansible and Bash.
- Design and execute performance benchmarks in Java and Selenium, and analyze workload results.
- Configure and deploy IBM Business Automation Workflow software in containerized environments: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu.
- Collect and visualize performance test results using Elasticsearch and Kibana dashboards.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate performance testing workflows.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations to development teams.
- Support Level 3 customer troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Document processes, benchmarks, and test results for knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of performance QA/testing experience for multi-tiered enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in Java, Bash, Ansible, and Linux system administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with containerized deployments, Java application servers (IBM WAS, Liberty), and databases (IBM Db2, Postgres).
- Proficiency in Elasticsearch and Kibana for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with performance testing and analysis of enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience developing performance benchmarks in Java and Selenium.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and OSI model.
- Proficient in container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu.
- Experience with Git/version control workflows.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Interest in monitoring tools, system troubleshooting, and open-source projects.
