Key Responsibilities
- Lead QatarEnergy’s Offensive Red Team activities across IT and OT environments.
- Conduct comprehensive threat hunting, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security assurance activities.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on cyber incident management, malware management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Supervise and coordinate with engineers and external consultants to build and manage QatarEnergy’s SOC Red Team functions.
- Oversee the execution of incident management programs, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
- Analyze network protocols, client-server applications, and multi-tier web applications to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Manage cloud security initiatives involving AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud services.
- Maintain compliance with IT governance frameworks like ITIL and COBIT.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity incident management, malware analysis, and vulnerability management.
- Expertise in penetration testing techniques, forensic analysis, and protocol analysis (Wireshark, NetWitness).
- Experience working with large ICS and ICT environments, preferably in the Energy sector.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and threat landscapes (APT, cybercrime).
- Proficient in cloud security platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Solid system administration skills across Windows, Unix, and multiple operating systems.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCE, GCIH, GIAC, CHFI, or equivalent are essential.
- Ability to remain professional and effective under stressful situations.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
- Over 10 years of technical experience in Information Security, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in penetration testing or offensive security.
