Key Responsibilities
As a Condensate Operator at QatarEnergy, your duties will include:
🔧 Process Operation & Monitoring
- Operate assigned process units including CDU, Hydrotreaters, and CCR Platformer.
- Monitor process parameters via Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and take timely corrective actions.
🛠️ Equipment Management
- Start, stop, and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine field inspections and report abnormalities promptly.
🔒 Safety & Compliance
- Follow Permit to Work (PTW) systems and participate in HAZOP, LOTO, and emergency drills.
- Maintain strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) regulations.
📊 Documentation & Reporting
- Record process deviations and generate shift reports.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuity in operations and effective handovers.
Required Skills and Experience
✅ Must-Have Experience
- 5–10 years of practical experience in refinery or petrochemical operations, particularly:
- Condensate Distillation Units (CDU)
- Hydrotreaters
- CCR Platformers
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting process equipment and understanding of refinery workflows.
🧠 Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in reading PFDs and P&IDs.
- Familiarity with DCS and PLC systems.
- Knowledge of emergency shutdown procedures and safety protocols.
🤝 Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- High attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to remain calm under operational pressure.
Educational Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in Refinery Operations, Process Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in safety procedures such as HAZOP, LOTO, or Emergency Response is a plus.
