Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Linux Technical Specialist, your core duties will include:
- Proactively manage and support client infrastructure and Linux environments.
- Configure, install, and monitor enterprise systems, ensuring operational continuity.
- Respond to high-complexity incidents and resolve issues within SLA guidelines.
- Log and track incidents with detailed documentation and escalation procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Drive automation and optimization in operations and support workflows.
- Mentor L2 support teams and guide them in advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Participate in or lead cross-domain infrastructure projects and DR activities.
- Update and maintain documentation including SOPs, change logs, and support playbooks.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management tools.
- Familiarity across multiple technology domains (Cloud, Security, Network, SAP, Apps).
- Ability to handle critical issues under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Experience in automation, monitoring tools, and infrastructure security practices.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and independent problem-solving capabilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
While not mandatory, candidates with the following certifications will have an advantage:
- Linux: RHCSA / RHCE
- Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Architect Expert, GCP, OCI
- Security & Network: CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP
- Virtualization & Backup: VMWare (VCP, SRM), Rubrik, Zerto, Veeam
- SAP/Oracle: SAP HANA, SAP OS DB Migration, Oracle Cloud Architect
- Others: IBM WebSphere, Pure Storage, vxRail
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Linux administration, infrastructure support, or cross-technology engineering.
- Proven track record in handling complex support tickets, client communications, and third-party vendor escalations.
