Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical maintenance management of process packaged equipment, rotating and static machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, safety valves (ESD valves, PSVs), HVAC, lifting equipment, and safety gear at PS-2 platform.
- Implement and oversee maintenance programs ensuring compliance with QatarEnergy’s quality policies and operational standards.
- Manage inspection, installation, commissioning, and repair activities ensuring mechanical systems’ integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate with offshore installation superintendents and Lead Maintenance Operation Engineer on technical and administrative matters.
- Participate in engineering projects and modifications affecting oil and gas production and processing facilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures for new and existing equipment, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and corporate policies.
- Coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, documentation, and testing activities to comply with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Review and validate equipment installations and operations for adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within the petrochemical or oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical packages, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, valves, HVAC, lifting equipment, and fire/safety systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and process control systems.
- Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in offshore environments and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong aptitude for understanding complex mechanical systems, control mechanisms, and engineering documentation.
