Key Responsibilities
- Lead 24×7 threat monitoring and detection to protect client systems.
- Analyze suspicious, malicious, and abnormal behaviors across environments.
- Conduct alert triage, initial assessment, incident validation, and severity classification.
- Prioritize security alerts and create incidents in accordance with SOPs.
- Report, escalate, and communicate incidents to stakeholders effectively.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain incident response policies, playbooks, and procedures.
- Preserve security alerts and incident artifacts for forensic investigations.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement in MTTD & MTTR.
Mandatory Skills & Certifications
- Certifications (Any one required):
- Certified SOC Analyst (EC-Council)
- Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (EC-Council)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (EC-Council)
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or equivalent
- Technical Expertise:
- SOC operations, incident management, threat detection, vulnerability management, SOC platform management, automation, asset integration, threat intelligence, threat hunting.
- Product Certifications (Preferred):
- SIEM, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, DAM, UBA/NBA platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Splunk or similar SOC platforms.
- Ability to develop, implement, and improve SOC workflows and automation.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in reducing Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Response (MTTR).
Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech / MCA / MBA (IT background) or Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science.
- Experience: 2–5 years in SOC, incident response, or cybersecurity operations.
