Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & ESG Leadership
- Lead ESG reporting initiatives and GHG accounting activities focusing on Scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions using recognized methodologies (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
- Manage data extraction, processing, and visualization of sustainability metrics and KPIs for climate and energy efficiency projects.
- Interpret and apply key ESG frameworks and regulations such as ISSB, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, CBAM, and GRI for diverse client engagements.
- Deliver actionable insights on climate risk modeling, decarbonization strategies, and biodiversity impact assessments.
- Guide teams on sustainable transformation projects to support client ESG & climate goals.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Lead partner and client engagements related to ESG strategy, reporting, and sustainability program delivery.
- Manage day-to-day interactions and meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team by attracting top talent and developing junior staff.
- Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Business Development & Thought Leadership
- Support business growth by preparing compelling proposals and pitches aligned with Deloitte’s global sustainability credentials.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to develop Thought Leadership (TL) and Point of View (PoV) documents on emerging ESG trends.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and leverage new business opportunities in the ESG and sustainability space.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced qualifications such as MBA or relevant certifications in ESG, Sustainability, or Climate (GRI, SASB, TCFD preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in ESG, sustainability, climate risk, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG ratings, GHG accounting, climate risk frameworks, and energy efficiency principles.
- Proven ability to manage global project delivery and client engagements independently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Resourceful, proactive, and adaptable to fast-changing ESG and sustainability landscapes.
- Experience working with international ESG standards and reporting guidelines.
- Willingness to travel frequently to client locations.
